Cyprien Bonnefoi struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Merlin Le Cam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bouquiniére. 5 minutes into the game, Raoul Coat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bouquiniére's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genay the free kick. The supporters of Genay booed when Bouquiniére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salim Clarac didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Cyprien Bonnefoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Merlin Le Cam saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Genay booed when Bouquiniére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etienne Pauleau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Bain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Charlie Rouiller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guy Quenault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Rouiller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Bain in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Cyprien Bonnefoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Le Cam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ferdinand Bain came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Genay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinand Bain couldn't finish the play. After having played for 35 minutes, Ferdinand Bain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferdinand Bain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charlie Rouiller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guy Quenault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bouquiniére's Charlie Rouiller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Quenault in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Genay's goal looked a bit too open when Cyprien Bonnefoi came free, but Merlin Le Cam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Genay got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Thevenard. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cyprien Bonnefoi to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyprien Bonnefoi in the 58th minute of play forced Genay's goalkeeper Merlin Le Cam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Rouiller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Bain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jason Edet in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Le Cam saved Genay from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Guy Quenault managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genay's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy Quenault was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Rouiller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Guy Quenault, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Charlie Rouiller was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Guy Quenault hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cyprien Bonnefoi in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Le Cam saved Genay from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Cyprien Bonnefoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bouquiniére's supporters rose to their feet, but Cyprien Bonnefoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salim Clarac helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Bouquiniére was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salim Clarac to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Bain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Quenault fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Rouiller having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Jason Edet managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bouquiniére's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Edet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Le Cam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genay's Merlin Le Cam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprien Bonnefoi in the 95th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
