Maltot's Ghislain Gresset got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Auguste Willig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lionel Raclot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavian Vibert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felicien Charlet charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felicien Charlet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lionel Raclot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavian Vibert in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Arnold Abadie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maltot's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sète the free kick. Steven Contet didn't quite understand what happened when in the 25 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. If Hippolyte Trubert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 31 minutes, Auguste Willig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sète's supporters crossed their fingers, but Auguste Willig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Auguste Willig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Auguste Willig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hippolyte Trubert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre-Henri Laly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hippolyte Trubert made a kick off. When Flavian Vibert came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Sète fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavian Vibert couldn't finish the play. After 55 played minutes Maltot got a freekick which was hit by Leopold Hayot. The supporters of Maltot booed when Sète was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavian Vibert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faudel Faget hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Ghislain Gresset made a precise shot to the right of Pierre-Henri Laly. Sète's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Flavian Vibert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Flavian Vibert fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Pierre-Henri Laly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ghislain Gresset in the 86th minute of the match. Pierre-Henri Laly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ghislain Gresset's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. The supporters of Maltot booed when Sète was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Missonnier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st match minute, Maltot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ghislain Gresset to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Maltot had won after a very even match.
