Celestin Manach charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestin Manach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Banneix booed when Napoule was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celestin Manach didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Pierre-Emmanuel Benjamin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Michel Therin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyprien Gardin having to interfere. Yves Pitard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre-Henri Granet, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute Constantin Lucchesi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yves Pitard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yves Pitard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Henri Granet in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Aime Kern hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yves Pitard came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Napoule's Constantin Lucchesi. But to his dismay, Constantin Lucchesi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pierre-Emmanuel Benjamin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cyprien Gardin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pierre-Emmanuel Benjamin ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Napoule's Cyprien Gardin got control of the ball when Jean-Michel Therin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cyprien Gardin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean-Michel Therin in the 34th minute of the match. Pierre-Henri Granet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yves Pitard having to interfere. Pierre-Emmanuel Benjamin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cyprien Gardin made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Napoule's Aime Kern got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jean-Michel Therin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Cyprien Gardin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Napoule were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantin Lucchesi made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Constantin Lucchesi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Yves Pitard was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leonard Nolot kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Constantin Lucchesi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Yves Pitard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Napoule. If Pierre-Henri Granet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yves Pitard made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Pierre-Henri Granet sent off a good shot on target. Napoule's Cyprien Gardin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Michel Therin in the 70th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Constantin Lucchesi in the 71st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 73 played minutes Napoule's Pierre-Henri Granet stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Yves Pitard stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Banneix of the goal.
