Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Hervé Schmidt made the kick off which started today's match. When Hervé Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Montgeron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hervé Schmidt couldn't finish the play. After 15 played minutes Drap got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Michel Audoux. 15 minutes into the match, Montgeron's Bruno Ronsin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Maquaire got free with Cyril Venturi in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Montgeron's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Alban Alric 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 26 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Drap's Alban Alric fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. The supporters of Drap booed when Montgeron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed-Ali Marchat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute Jonas Lechartier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Briquet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Montgeron's Hervé Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Michel Gasse during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The goalkeeper, Cyril Venturi, was totally fooled by Drap's Maurice Dumonteil, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
Alban Alric fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyril Venturi having to interfere. Cyril Venturi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alban Alric in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alban Alric in the 62nd minute of play forced Montgeron's goalkeeper Cyril Venturi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Montgeron's Hervé Schmidt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Briquet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jonas Lechartier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Hervé Schmidt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montgeron's supporters rose to their feet, but Hervé Schmidt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danny Briquet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonas Lechartier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Briquet having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Jean-Michel Gasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute of the match, Hervé Schmidt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Danny Briquet saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Montgeron's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
