Dimitri Philippot hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Dimitri Philippot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renaud Capelle having to interfere. Dimitri Philippot was shown his second yellow card after 28 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Guentrange getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Dimitri Philippot hit a great ball. Danny Desreumaux made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bakary Le Moullec in the 31st minute. Guentrange's Danny Desreumaux played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Hamard in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Claude Hamard recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danny Desreumaux. Claude Hamard showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, Guentrange's goal looked a bit too open when Claude Hamard came free, but Danny Desreumaux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Bioge's Claude Hamard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Desreumaux narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilles Didierjean to strike the kick off in the second half. When Gilles Didierjean came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Guentrange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilles Didierjean couldn't finish the play. Claude Hamard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bakary Le Moullec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Danny Desreumaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Bakary Le Moullec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danny Desreumaux was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 77 minutes into the match, Bioge's goal looked a bit too open when Gilles Didierjean came free, but Renaud Capelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilles Didierjean was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Guentrange's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 87th match minute, Guentrange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre Specht to maneuver through the defense. Danny Desreumaux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claude Hamard in the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Pierre Specht managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guentrange's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierre Specht was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renaud Capelle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bioge were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
