Froidcul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marly the free kick. The supporters of Marly booed when Froidcul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugues Mao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Cottereau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sébastian Brunot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Mike Cottereau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Froidcul's Modeste Dumoulin got control of the ball when Sébastian Brunot tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 30 minutes, Tony Devillard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marly and the Froidcul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marly's Tony Devillard got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marly's Sébastian Brunot got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Froidcul's goal looked a bit too open when Sébastian Brunot came free, but Modeste Dumoulin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yves Adélaide was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Mike Cottereau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marly's supporters rose to their feet, but Mike Cottereau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Modeste Dumoulin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alban Barbero scored 0-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Théophile Lair, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Froidcul getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Axel Aubrun hit a great ball. Froidcul's Modeste Dumoulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Cottereau in the 68th minute of play. Modeste Dumoulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Cottereau, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Modeste Dumoulin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sébastian Brunot's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Axel Aubrun charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Aubrun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, Axel Aubrun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sébastian Brunot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Modeste Dumoulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
