After 12 minutes, Gael Edel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saveuse and the Cantin players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Albert Perreau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanislas Salvi struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albert Perreau to make the kick off.
