Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christophe Vercruysse got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Donovan Patron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Donovan Patron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean-Paul Cazaubon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christophe Vercruysse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jolan Fièvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Paul Cazaubon having to interfere. Christophe Vercruysse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Germain Droin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Hippolyte Roulleau. After recieving a nice pass, Eguilles's Franklin Collas tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Romaric Buch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eguilles's Jean-Paul Cazaubon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jolan Fièvet in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Christophe Vercruysse came free, but Germain Droin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jolan Fièvet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jean-Paul Cazaubon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jolan Fièvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jolan Fièvet made a kick off. 60 minutes into the game, Bixente Luquet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eguilles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marseille the free kick. Bixente Luquet hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Germain Droin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romaric Buch in the 65th minute. Marvin Frappier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jean-Paul Cazaubon. Eguilles's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Christophe Vercruysse came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Eguilles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christophe Vercruysse couldn't finish the play. Eguilles's Christophe Vercruysse got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romaric Buch could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Germain Droin made a huge save. Jolan Maziere was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. The referee gave Eguilles a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Franklin Collas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Marseille's Germain Droin. 0-1. Eguilles's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
