In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avouzon's goalkeeper Benoit Bossu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jason Verchere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Avouzon's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Verchere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudy Pellegrini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tristan Le Moine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benoit Bossu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remi Mazur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remi Mazur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benoit Bossu having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marc Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benoit Bossu was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Jason Verchere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rudy Pellegrini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tristan Le Moine stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute, Marc Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willy Berrou's late challenge caught a Rubelles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willy Berrou helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Avouzon's Willy Berrou got a free kick in the 67th minute. Marc Cardoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Avouzon's goal looked a bit too open when Dilan Dubief came free, but Benoit Bossu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Camille Lebarbier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Rubelles's zone, Tristan Le Moine stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudy Pellegrini came out of the goal and Tristan Le Moine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Marc Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rubelles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Avouzon the free kick. A collision led to Rubelles getting a freekick after 78 minutes play.
