Augny's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dugny the free kick. 14 minutes into the match, Augny's goal looked a bit too open when Didier Sala came free, but Michel Greffier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Geoffroy Christmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cesar Poiret skillfully saved the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Etienne Ferret made a kick off. 55 minutes into the game, one of Augny:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Humblot got free with Cesar Poiret in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 63 minutes into the match, Augny's goal looked a bit too open when Didier Sala came free, but Michel Greffier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Didier Sala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
