Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Carauce's Martial Ney started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Carauce booed when Montarmot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Violette didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Carauce's Aymerick Bilger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Ney in the 8th minute of play forced Montarmot's goalkeeper Élie Defer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Vitte struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Élie Defer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carauce. In the 14th minute, Melvin Bailet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Carauce got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Delpy. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Alexandre Behra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montarmot's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Behra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charlie Dieudonné breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Martial Ney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Marco Vitte came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Carauce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Vitte couldn't finish the play. Geoffrey Dacheux could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Charlie Dieudonné made a huge save. After having played for 36 minutes, Martial Ney managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carauce's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martial Ney was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Montarmot's zone, Martial Ney stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Élie Defer came out of the goal and Martial Ney tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charlie Dieudonné showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Behra, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Martial Ney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Élie Defer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexandre Behra made a kick off. Martial Ney's late challenge caught a Montarmot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martial Ney helped the player get up and apologised. Marco Vitte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Behra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Dieudonné having to interfere. Martial Ney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Defer having to interfere. Carauce's Charlie Dieudonné played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Behra in the 72nd minute of play. Martial Ney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Élie Defer having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Martial Ney fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Élie Defer, passed just outside the right post. Martial Ney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Élie Defer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
