The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Maurice Jaubert made the kick off in the second half. Malik Rouchon's late challenge caught a Monaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malik Rouchon helped the player get up and apologised. After 51 played minutes Hontane got a freekick which was hit by Malik Rouchon. After 52 minutes, Erwan Pailler made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Hontane's Christophe Bellone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute Maurice Jaubert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christophe Bellone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Souchet kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Malik Rouchon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Charles-Henri Delagneau when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Malik Rouchon in the 74thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Charles-Henri Delagneau, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 74th minute, Kevin Oudard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malik Rouchon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Hontane's Charles-Henri Delagneau threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Louison Paoli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a defensive mix-up in Monaco's zone, Malik Rouchon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles-Henri Delagneau came out of the goal and Malik Rouchon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Charles-Henri Delagneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louison Paoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Louison Paoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Monaco were victorious despite being under pressure from Hontane for much of the match.
