Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Guipavas's Darren Jamme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Regis Dreux kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Guipavas's Eric Hours played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yvan Quercy in the 10th minute of play. Germain Kazmierczak charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germain Kazmierczak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Guipavas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germain Kazmierczak to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Honore Damas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grignon's Melvin Alard got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Darren Jamme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Uzan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Guipavas booed when Grignon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Alard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darren Jamme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danny Savina's late challenge caught a Guipavas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Savina helped the player get up and apologised. Darren Jamme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Guipavas got a freekick which was hit by Honore Damas. If Regis Dreux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Regis Dreux in the 38th minute of play forced Guipavas's goalkeeper Eric Hours to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Guipavas got a freekick which was hit by Gilles Pavageau. Yvan Quercy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Hours having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nelson Drevon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guipavas's supporters rose to their feet, but Nelson Drevon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquim Uzan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Guipavas's Darren Jamme dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yvan Quercy to make the kick off. If Nelson Drevon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Guipavas's Darren Jamme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Uzan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joaquim Uzan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darren Jamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Guipavas's Nelson Drevon got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Nelson Drevon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guipavas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
