Faustin Guimard might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfred Romanet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustin Guimard ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the match, Batarelle's goalkeeper Elias Brayer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raphaël Huyghe. Faustin Guimard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alfred Romanet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batarelle's goalkeeper Elias Brayer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raphaël Huyghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Brayer having to interfere. Batarelle's Elias Brayer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramzy Mourlon in the 19th minute of play. Raphaël Huyghe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Elias Brayer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faustin Guimard made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Batarelle's goal looked a bit too open when Ramzy Mourlon came free, but Elias Brayer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustin Guimard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Romanet having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Ramzy Mourlon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Elias Brayer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 72ndth minute of the game Faustin Guimard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lutterbach's Alfred Romanet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramzy Mourlon might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Brayer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raphaël Huyghe in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Elias Brayer saved Batarelle from getting behind. Martin Régnard hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 84 minutes, Alix Cuenot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batarelle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alix Cuenot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lutterbach's Alfred Romanet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Lutterbach from getting a goal against them. Alfred Romanet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilan Duprat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
