Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Steven Claire started the match with the kick off. When Jean-Michel Le Bris came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Vèrinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Michel Le Bris couldn't finish the play. Léopold Cailly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexis Savignac having to interfere. After having played for 13 minutes, Lamine Fosset managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chatron's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lamine Fosset was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steven Claire struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Stanislas Druesne didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vèrinas. Lamine Fosset received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alexis Savignac tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Vèrinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Genot to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Brian Maisonnave was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chatron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vèrinas the free kick. Jean-Michel Le Bris's late challenge caught a Chatron's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jean-Michel Le Bris helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd minute, Jean-Michel Le Bris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Steven Claire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Léopold Cailly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Claire in the 45th minute of play forced Chatron's goalkeeper Stanislas Druesne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rudy Genot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Stanislas Druesne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Léopold Cailly to make the kick off. Lamine Fosset sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Vèrinas's Rudy Genot got a free kick in the 56th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Chatron:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vèrinas:s goal. The referee gave Vèrinas a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Josselin Viger, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chatron's Stanislas Druesne. 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Steven Claire managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vèrinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Claire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislas Druesne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Chatron's zone, Jean-Michel Le Bris stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stanislas Druesne came out of the goal and Jean-Michel Le Bris tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Léopold Cailly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Alexis Savignac made a huge save. Étienne Creusot kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Rudy Genot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Stanislas Druesne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 99 minutes into the match, Jean-Michel Le Bris had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stanislas Druesne. Chatron's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Michel Le Bris was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vèrinas had played much better football throughout.
