Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Lamotte's Emile Ayrault started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfred Chancel charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfred Chancel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Lamotte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Chancel to maneuver through the defense. If Honore Pignard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Leo Feuvrier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vétraz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lamotte the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Vétraz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Feuvrier to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes Lamotte got a freekick which was hit by Thibaut Carminati. If Igor Santerre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Santerre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
Lamotte's Jean-Philippe Rabineau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Lamotte from getting a goal against them. Eymeric Schuster could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Jean-Philippe Rabineau made a huge save. Honore Pignard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alix Cerutti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lamotte's Emile Ayrault in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vétraz's goalie prevented a goal. After 61 played minutes Vétraz got a freekick which was hit by Tony Rey. Eymeric Schuster took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean-Philippe Rabineau. Jean-Philippe Rabineau dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jean-Philippe Rabineau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Santerre in the 71st minute of play. Marin Betton hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Florian Ravard was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eymeric Schuster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Philippe Rabineau having to interfere. When Emile Ayrault came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Lamotte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emile Ayrault couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Lamotte's Emile Ayrault sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alix Cerutti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alix Cerutti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emile Ayrault, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Vétraz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vétraz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
