Auguste Limare was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 12th minute. Belleveu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 14 minutes into the match, Viriat's goalkeeper Batiste Lepoutre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicolas Courtet. Romeo Guillet hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Auguste Limare received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Batiste Lepoutre came out and tried to block the shot, but Auguste Limare slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 16th minute. Fabrice Gueret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auguste Limare in the 27th minute of play forced Viriat's goalkeeper Batiste Lepoutre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Marie Poujol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alix Desnoyers in the 28th minute of the match. Nicolas Courtet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batiste Lepoutre having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Viriat's goal looked a bit too open when Auguste Limare came free, but Batiste Lepoutre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belleveu's Nicolas Courtet got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nicolas Courtet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belleveu's Nicolas Courtet got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nicolas Courtet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Batiste Lepoutre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Viriat's Batiste Lepoutre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Auguste Limare in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Courtet in the 58th minute of play forced Viriat's goalkeeper Batiste Lepoutre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auguste Limare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrice Gueret in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jean-Marie Poujol saved Belleveu from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Viriat's Djimmy Gosnet got a free kick in the 70th minute. Auguste Limare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Batiste Lepoutre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Belleveu's zone, Romeo Guillet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Marie Poujol came out of the goal and Romeo Guillet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Batiste Lepoutre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Auguste Limare in the 77th minute of the match. Batiste Lepoutre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Auguste Limare in the 81st minute of play. Jean-Paul Oudot struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jean-Marie Poujol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viriat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Auguste Limare in the 92nd minute of play forced Viriat's goalkeeper Batiste Lepoutre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Marie Poujol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrice Gueret, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Alix Desnoyers came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Viriat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alix Desnoyers couldn't finish the play.
