If Abraham Turc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raoul Chantepie scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felicien Heyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Olivier Bodin might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilfried Vincent. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olivier Bodin ran back to his position shaking his head. Olivier Bodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Wilfried Vincent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Custines defense, Abraham Turc kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felicien Heyer. The Custines fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felicien Heyer should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Olivier Bodin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Custines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Felicien Heyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Turc in the 28th minute of play. Hugo Depoilly hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Germain Leparoux hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the game, Abraham Turc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Felicien Heyer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Custines's Bastien Cadieu in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Courrières's goalie prevented a goal. Courrières's Wilfried Vincent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Julienne in the 41st minute of play. A collision led to Custines getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Michael Julienne hit a great ball. The Custines players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Courrières were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abraham Turc to strike the kick off in the second half. Courrières's Raoul Chantepie got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calvin Talon's late challenge caught a Courrières's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Calvin Talon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Calvin Talon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Rachid Guffroy in the 55th minute really tested Felicien Heyer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 63 played minutes Courrières got a freekick which was hit by Abdel Croze. 67 minutes into the match, Olivier Bodin notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Courrières's Wilfried Vincent. Wilfried Vincent was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilfried Vincent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastien Cadieu in the 82nd minute of the match. Wilfried Vincent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastien Cadieu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 played minutes Custines got a freekick which was hit by Germain Leparoux. Courrières's Wilfried Vincent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bastien Cadieu in the 94th minute of play.
