Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Ritz ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Roger Ritz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Camille Jallais was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Omar Lance's late challenge caught a Puits's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Lance helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Puits booed when Clusaz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Lance didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Ritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camille Jallais having to interfere. Lamine Derycke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Ritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Camille Jallais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Roger Ritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bart Massicot struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Camille Jallais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Puits. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bart Massicot in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Camille Jallais prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clusaz's Camille Jallais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roger Ritz in the 29th minute of play. Wilfried Adel hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Kevan Forget made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anatole Mairot in the 36th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Roger Ritz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camille Jallais. Clusaz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Ritz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Ritz in the 44th minute of play forced Clusaz's goalkeeper Camille Jallais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bart Massicot was the one to do the kick off. Kevan Forget didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gérard Jacques went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Roger Ritz scored 2-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Camille Jallais, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bart Massicot might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camille Jallais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bart Massicot ran back to his position shaking his head. Roger Ritzs short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Camille Jallais to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Puits's Bart Massicot slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Camille Jallais. That made the score 2-3 after 60 minutes of play. If Anatole Mairot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Puits's Bart Massicot got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bart Massicot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anatole Mairot kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bart Massicot in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Camille Jallais saved Clusaz from getting behind. Kevan Forget made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anatole Mairot in the 86th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bixente Collinet during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Bixente Collinet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Ritz might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camille Jallais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roger Ritz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Clusaz's zone, Bart Massicot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camille Jallais came out of the goal and Bart Massicot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Théodore Dazy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clusaz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Puits the free kick. After a rather tough play, Clusaz's Théodore Dazy got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Puits were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Clusaz's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marin Wiart took the corner. Puits's Marin Wiart was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Camille Jallais in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Puits played a much better game than Clusaz and deserved their victory. The Clusaz players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
