Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arnaud Morant got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute Arnaud Morant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferdinand Delsaux saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 6 played minutes Cannes got a freekick which was hit by Armand Simonnet. Ferdinand Delsaux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaud Morant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Arnaud Morant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florent Roesch hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Alexandre Abid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Bruere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Cannes's Hubert Bruere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Abid in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Cannes's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexandre Abid fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Tony Bondu fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cannes's protests and gave Tony Bondu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Cannes's Tony Bondu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Alexandre Abid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ergal's Alexandre Abid in the 37th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Hubert Bruere was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Cannes through an amazing save. Kylian Tourte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdinand Delsaux having to interfere. Arnaud Morant might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferdinand Delsaux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaud Morant ran back to his position shaking his head. Cannes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Victor Guittonneau scored to the left of an out of position Hubert Bruere, making the score, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandre Abid to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnaud Morant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferdinand Delsaux having to make a save. Florent Roesch hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Victor Guittonneau took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hubert Bruere. Hubert Bruere dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a little luck, Ergal's Ferdinand Delsaux got control of the ball when Kylian Tourte tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alexandre Abid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kylian Tourte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ferdinand Delsaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hubert Bruere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Guittonneau in the 78th minute of the match. If Alexandre Abid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Guittonneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hubert Bruere having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alexandre Abid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hubert Bruere was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armand Simonnet during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cannes getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Armand Simonnet hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Cannes's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Guittonneau came free, but Hubert Bruere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 86th minute of the match Armand Simonnet completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Armand Simonnet a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 92nd minute Ergal were awarded a corner. Raphael Lasalle went to the cornerflag to take it. A well done corner resulted in John Buet drilling the ball in to score 3-1 behind Cannes's goalkeeper. 98 minutes into the match, Ergal's goalkeeper Ferdinand Delsaux had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kylian Tourte. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cannes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ergal.
