Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Erre's Octave Clave started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gildas Dambrine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Octave Pailhes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Octave Pailhes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Giacomoni in the 6th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Giacomoni in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octave Pailhes saved Erre from getting behind. Kylian Camy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octave Clave, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes Octave Clave rounded Wicres's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Billy Ferrara's late challenge caught a Erre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Ferrara helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Billy Ferrara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Octave Clave's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kylian Camy was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Erre were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Wicres's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. After having played for 32 minutes, Octave Clave managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octave Clave was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octave Clave fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kylian Camy having to interfere. If Jean Giacomoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Erre's Josselin Donze got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 1-2 became the score in the 57th minute when Jean Giacomoni elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 60 played minutes Erre got a freekick which was hit by Raymond Thuret. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Jean Giacomoni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wicres's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Giacomoni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octave Pailhes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Giacomoni got free with Octave Pailhes in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gildas Dambrine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gildas Dambrine's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octave Pailhes was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Jean Giacomoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 80 played minutes Erre got a freekick which was hit by Éloi Tosi. In the 84th minute, Éloi Tosi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Octave Clave received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Kylian Camy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kylian Camy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josselin Donze, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wicres's Kylian Camy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octave Clave in the 90th minute of play. Kylian Camy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octave Clave in the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 95 minutes, Josselin Donze managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josselin Donze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octave Clave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Wicres supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Wicres would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
