A wasted opportunity for Antibes. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Gustave Chaigneau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meyreuil's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustave Chaigneau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Chartier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rodolphe Dorange had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Meyreuil booed when Antibes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Planche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustave Chaigneau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Chartier having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Teddy Pineau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Rodolphe Dorange got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Bernard Herzog managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bernard Herzog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Boudaud read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Meyreuil's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Herzog came free, but Carl Boudaud reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Chartier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolphe Dorange in the 35th minute of the match. Rodolphe Dorange might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Chartier. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodolphe Dorange ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustave Chaigneau could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Alexandre Chartier made a huge save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodolphe Dorange stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alexandre Chartier came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Meyreuil's Rodolphe Dorange. But to his dismay, Rodolphe Dorange quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rodolphe Dorange struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gustave Chaigneau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Alexandre Chartier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Meyreuil's Rodolphe Dorange in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Antibes's goalie prevented a goal. Steve Boudier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Antibes's zone, Rodolphe Dorange stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Chartier came out of the goal and Rodolphe Dorange tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustave Chaigneau blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Chartier having to make a save. Alexandre Chartier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolphe Dorange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th match minute, Meyreuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Dulin to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Steve Boudier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Carl Boudaud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steve Boudier got free with Carl Boudaud in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antibes succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Meyreuil had controlled the match.
