Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernard Herzog made the kick off which started today's match. After 9 played minutes Willy Girerd shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Tignet's Simon Jean to catch but Willy Girerd was lucky. It became 1-0 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. When Alphonse Ringenbach was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 13 minutes had been played. Alphonse Ringenbach hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. If Bernard Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Benoît Benoît was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tignet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Antibes the free kick. Willy Girerd walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After having played for 28 minutes, Terry Jestin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tignet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Terry Jestin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Simon Jean made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Steve Boudier sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Chartier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyril Quet in the 37th minute of play. Tignet's Terry Jestin pulled a muscle in his leg after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Teddy Pineau's late challenge caught a Tignet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teddy Pineau helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Antibes's Teddy Pineau got a free kick in the 38th minute. If Bernard Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Herzog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Jean having to interfere.

Bernard Herzog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Jean read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Tignet getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Benoît Benoît hit a great ball. Willy Girerd took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simon Jean. Tignet's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Simon Jean showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Herzog, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Bernard Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Simon Jean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Antibes's Bernard Herzog in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tignet's goalie prevented a goal. Cyril Quet kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Steve Boudier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antibes's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Boudier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Jean breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alou Catel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Alexandre Chartier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Bernard Herzog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Jean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Simon Jean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tignet's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
