Bernard Herzog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacome Cathelain having to interfere. In the 4th match minute, Chereng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serge Duvernois to maneuver through the defense. Pacome Cathelain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernard Herzog in the 6th minute of the match. If Steve Boudier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brandon Dournel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Alexandre Chartier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 11th minute when Florent Gobin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Florent Gobin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pacome Cathelain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bernard Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pacome Cathelain stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernard Herzog's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The audience was convinced that Steve Boudier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pacome Cathelain was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Florent Gobin struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alexandre Chartier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chereng. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Antibes:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chereng:s goal. The goalkeeper, Alexandre Chartier, was totally fooled by Chereng's Luka Besseau, who 39 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Pacome Cathelain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernard Herzog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pacome Cathelain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Herzog in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Bernard Herzog made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chereng's zone, Bernard Herzog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pacome Cathelain came out of the goal and Bernard Herzog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the game, Joaquim Planche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antibes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chereng the free kick. The supporters of Chereng booed when Antibes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Planche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brandon Dournel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Alexandre Chartier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chereng's Florent Gobin got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brandon Dournel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Alexandre Chartier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Bernard Herzog kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pacome Cathelain. That made the score 2-1 in the 72 minute of play. In the 78th minute Brandon Dournel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Chartier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match, Steve Boudier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pacome Cathelain was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 86 minutes into the match, Antibes's goal looked a bit too open when Florent Gobin came free, but Alexandre Chartier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chereng's Pacome Cathelain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Herzog in the 88th minute of play. With a little luck, Chereng's Pacome Cathelain got control of the ball when Steve Boudier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florent Gobin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the match, Chereng's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Herzog came free, but Pacome Cathelain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antibes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
