After a defensive mix-up in Beaunant's zone, Etienne Lanvin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The supporters of Lompret booed when Beaunant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinand Forgues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyrille Gérard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etienne Lanvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Beaunant getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jim Brouillard hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Lompret's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aimé Ramos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brandon Franchet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bacary Fer in the 26th minute of play. Patrick Hersant hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Bacary Fer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brandon Franchet was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aimé Ramos got free with Brandon Franchet in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cyrille Gérard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Hersant, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Lompret's Brandon Franchet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bacary Fer in the 39th minute of play. Aimé Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Brandon Franchet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 49th minute Bacary Fer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Franchet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bacary Fer made a kick off. Christopher Dilly thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Brandon Franchet, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 1-0. Aimé Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Brandon Franchet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Hersant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyrille Gérard having to interfere. A collision led to Beaunant getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Bacary Fer hit a great ball. If Bacary Fer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aimé Ramos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Brandon Franchet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bacary Fer came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Beaunant fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bacary Fer couldn't finish the play. If Aimé Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aimé Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brandon Franchet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aimé Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. Bacary Fer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cyrille Gérard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Etienne Lanvin in the 89th minute of the match. Cyrille Gérard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Hersant in the 90th minute. Lompret were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Beaunant's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Barberet took the corner. The corner ended in Joel Barberet almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Beaunant's Cyrille Gérard did a great save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lompret's Etienne Lanvin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cyrille Gérard. That made the score 1-1 after 93 minutes of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Beaunant players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
