Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pierre-Henri Leterme made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute Pierre-Henri Leterme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ghislain Gaudefroy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Ader sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Pachot in the 13th minute of play forced Montmagny's goalkeeper Ali Bastien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Silvange's Ahmed Ader sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Bastien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Montmagny defense, Ahmed Ader kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Bastien. The Montmagny fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Bastien should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Ahmed Ader notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Montmagny's Ali Bastien. Ali Bastien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pierre-Henri Leterme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ghislain Gaudefroy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Ravenel's late challenge caught a Silvange's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Ravenel helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Montmagny got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Ravenel. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Ahmed Ader managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silvange's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmed Ader was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Bastien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ghislain Gaudefroy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Henri Leterme in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When Boris Pachot came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Silvange fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Pachot couldn't finish the play. Ghislain Gaudefroy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre-Henri Leterme in the 57th minute of play. Tony Guillochon's late challenge caught a Montmagny's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Guillochon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Silvange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Guillochon to maneuver through the defense. Pierre-Henri Leterme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ghislain Gaudefroy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Joël Anger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montmagny and the Silvange players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Montmagny getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Joël Anger hit a great ball. Ahmed Ader's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Ali Bastien skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Montmagny's Léopold Dedieu got a free kick in the 70th minute. If Joël Anger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes Montmagny got a freekick which was hit by Flavien Gascoin. Silvange's Ahmed Ader got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 minutes of play Montmagny's Sidney Ravenel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The Silvange supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Silvange would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
