With a couple of smart ball manuevers Léopold Coupat in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigue Blanckaert saved Custines from getting behind. Gilbert Garbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Léopold Coupat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rodrigue Blanckaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigue Blanckaert made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gilbert Garbay sent off a good shot on target. Lilian Taieb struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jean Méresse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Custines. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lilian Taieb stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Garbay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigue Blanckaert having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michel Cano got free with Jean Méresse in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Barre's goalkeeper Jean Méresse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Cano. After a rather tough play, Barre's Franck Borgne got a free kick in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Barre's goalkeeper Jean Méresse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michel Cano.
