Samir Archambault blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stanislas Kubiak having to make a save. Félicien Fourreau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislas Kubiak having to interfere. Grassette's Stanislas Kubiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samir Archambault in the 22nd minute of play. A hard shot 26 in the game by Ferdinand Parrot from a close distance when the talented Bruno Jeanroy managed to make a qualified save. Pétrie's players were relieved. Stanislas Kubiak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Félicien Fourreau's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Félicien Fourreau in the 33rd minute of play forced Grassette's goalkeeper Stanislas Kubiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Samir Archambault received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Stanislas Kubiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Samir Archambault managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pétrie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samir Archambault was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ferdinand Parrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Félicien Fourreau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Joe Heintz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grassette's Stanislas Kubiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Félicien Fourreau in the 56th minute of play. Pétrie's Bruno Jeanroy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinand Parrot in the 82nd minute of play. If Ferdinand Parrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grassette's Stanislas Kubiak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Grassette from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Pétrie defense, Willy Gaudard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Jeanroy. The Pétrie fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Jeanroy should have stopped the shot. Bruno Jeanroy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willy Gaudard in the 94th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grassette fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pétrie had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
