After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jonas Ledieu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jenlain's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonas Ledieu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimmy Guillain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 41st minute Chris Houllier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Guillain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Jenlain booed when Condamine was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Pavageau didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Jenlain's Jonas Ledieu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmy Guillain narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonas Ledieu to make the kick off. Damien Burckel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Jamain having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Jenlain got a freekick which was hit by Danny Soubrier. Alfred Jamain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorien Portet, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Chris Houllier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Jimmy Guillain made a huge save. Eddy Moullec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Burckel charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damien Burckel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Alfred Jamain came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Condamine's Eddy Moullec. But to his dismay, Eddy Moullec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Chris Houllier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jenlain's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
