Alfred Jamain came out of the goal and Louison Bouville tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Foury kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jenlain's zone, Aime Gerbaud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Jamain came out of the goal and Aime Gerbaud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Djibril Cherel's late challenge caught a Jenlain's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Djibril Cherel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Targnat's Djibril Cherel got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After having played for 24 minutes, Chris Houllier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenlain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Houllier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aime Gerbaud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alfred Jamain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Targnat booed when Jenlain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marc Foury didn't get a good kick on the ball.
