Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Barnabe Nicaise made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, David Cavillon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jerome Rouviere received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Denis Rea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Barnabe Nicaise ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Rea was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Barnabe Nicaise managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saran's supporters rose to their feet, but Barnabe Nicaise was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Rea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute Jerome Rouviere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Rea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hippolyte Cornillon's late challenge caught a Lozinghem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hippolyte Cornillon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lozinghem booed when Saran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hippolyte Cornillon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Fernand Farrugia managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Lozinghem's David Cavillon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Cavillon got free with Fernand Farrugia in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Saran's Fernand Farrugia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Leclercq in the 28th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Saran got a freekick which was hit by Hippolyte Cornillon. Barnabe Nicaise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Denis Rea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Saran's zone, Jean-Marie Ferron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernand Farrugia came out of the goal and Jean-Marie Ferron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jerome Rouviere sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lozinghem players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Saran were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernest Leclercq was the one to do the kick off. Jerome Rouviere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Saran's Denis Rea threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Barnabe Nicaise, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 64th match minute, Lozinghem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pierre-Emmanuel Lambin to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, Saran's Walter Camara broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jerome Rouviere blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Rea having to make a save. Barnabe Nicaise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Denis Rea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludovic Adler during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lozinghem's Ludovic Adler got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Ernest Leclercq managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lozinghem's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Leclercq was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernand Farrugia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Cavillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
