Edgard Tétard started the match with the kick off. If Joël Josselin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Courcouronnes booed when Filly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakim Goulard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabrice Guesdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Youri Mathy having to interfere. A collision led to Courcouronnes getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Régis Chable hit a great ball. In the 26th minute of the match Erwan Le Lan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Youri Mathy showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Edgard Veron came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Courcouronnes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Veron couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Filly's goal looked a bit too open when Joël Josselin came free, but Reynald Benito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 33 in the game by Edgard Veron from a close distance when the talented Reynald Benito managed to make a qualified save. Filly's players were relieved. Joël Josselin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynald Benito made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Edgard Veron sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute, Courcouronnes's Joël Josselin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reynald Benito. Reynald Benito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joël Josselin made a kick off. Joël Josselin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Filly's Edgard Tétard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Youri Mathy. That made the score 1-2 after 56 minutes of play. Youri Mathy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Tétard in the 61st minute of play. In the 62nd minute Edgard Tétard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Youri Mathy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Edgard Veron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Filly's Edgard Tétard dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. If Edgard Veron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Joël Josselin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Reynald Benito was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With an all-out effort, Filly's Youri Mathy threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edgard Tétard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Courcouronnes's Youri Mathy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Courcouronnes from getting a goal against them. Edgard Veron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynald Benito having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Filly eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
