Vétraz's Barnabe Marcadet got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute Barnabe Marcadet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Santerre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boris Pinna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernand Floc H read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Fernand Floc H made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boris Pinna in the 15th minute. Charles Peronnet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 played minutes Vétraz got a freekick which was hit by Jason Bache. If Boris Pinna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Besançon's goalkeeper Tommy Santerre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Barnabe Marcadet came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Vétraz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barnabe Marcadet couldn't finish the play. 63 minutes into the match, Besançon's Jordan Pamphile sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernand Floc H narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tommy Santerre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Cornut in the 98th minute of play. Vétraz's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
