Versailles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tressin the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Versailles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Dassonneville to maneuver through the defense. When Mathias Ott came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Tressin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Ott couldn't finish the play. Maurice Davignon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Noa Thouvenot's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The supporters of Versailles booed when Tressin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathias Ott didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurice Davignon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noa Thouvenot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathias Otts short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Maurice Davignon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Tourneux's late challenge caught a Tressin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Tourneux helped the player get up and apologised. Jonathan Tourneux hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Tressin's Jackson Grandjean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tanguy Dumay in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Tressin's goal looked a bit too open when Didier Costantini came free, but Jackson Grandjean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute, Versailles's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mathias Ott fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 35 minutes into the match, Versailles's goal looked a bit too open when Noa Thouvenot came free, but Maurice Davignon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pierre-Henri Coureau kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Noa Thouvenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noa Thouvenot in the 60th minute of play forced Versailles's goalkeeper Maurice Davignon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Mathias Ott managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tressin's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Ott was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Davignon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th match minute, Versailles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Dassonneville to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Ott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Ott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurice Davignon having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tanguy Dumay got free with Jackson Grandjean in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the game, Tressin's Noa Thouvenot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maurice Davignon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tressin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Versailles had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
