Sammy Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Terry Boulle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sammy Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davy Meriaux got free with Steven Calmet in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grégoire Marque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Terry Boulle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute Louison Hallot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steven Calmet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vany booed when Fontain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Denizot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Louison Hallot made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grégoire Marque got free with Terry Boulle in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Vany's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sammy Reyes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Vany's zone, François-Xavier Poupin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Terry Boulle came out of the goal and François-Xavier Poupin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sammy Reyes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Boulle having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Vany:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Fontain:s goal. In the 68th minute, the referee gave Fontain a penalty. Daniel Goulard looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Terry Boulle. Grégoire Marque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terry Boulle having to interfere. If Sammy Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Donald Denizot took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Terry Boulle to make any attempt to save it. Louison Hallot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Calmet having to interfere. Fontain's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
