Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sidney Morant made the kick off and thus started the match. When Cesar Ballet came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Cannes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Ballet couldn't finish the play. Danny Pitou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Rodrigue Laure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sidney Morant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cannes getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Francois Brugere hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Sidney Morant fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Millery's Anthony Rey got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Cesar Ballet took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodrigue Laure. Rodrigue Laure dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Millery's zone, Cesar Ballet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigue Laure came out of the goal and Cesar Ballet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodrigue Laure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Ballet, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Cesar Ballet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigue Laure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Ballet in the 34th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Cesar Ballet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigue Laure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Morant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cesar Ballet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigue Laure read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Cannes's Calvin Clapier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheo Fontenelle in the 59th minute of play. Calvin Clapier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheo Fontenelle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matheo Fontenelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvin Clapier having to interfere. Cesar Ballet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Morant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Millery's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Ballet came free, but Rodrigue Laure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anthony Rey fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Millery's protests and gave Anthony Rey a yellow card for diving instead. After 86 minutes, Emilien Guyader mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cannes and the Millery players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90thth minute of the game Sidney Morant who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cannes's Calvin Clapier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Danny Pitou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Ballet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cannes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
