Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eymeric Leost made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Malleloy's Wilfried Cuvilliez got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 14th minute, Ménardais's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eymeric Leost fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Malcom Le Goff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tim Hamon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Becuwe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Fresneau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Becuwe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gauthier Ogier, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Ménardais's goal looked a bit too open when Eymeric Leost came free, but Tim Hamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehdi Barbieri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malleloy! The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddy Fresneau was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Malleloy's zone, Eddy Fresneau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Becuwe came out of the goal and Eddy Fresneau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexandre Becuwe made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Gauthier Ogier sent off a good shot on target. Gauthier Ogier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Hamon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mohamed Gille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Ménardais's Eddy Fresneau ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alexandre Becuwe. Alexandre Becuwe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 79th minute, Malleloy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gauthier Ogier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 83 minutes into the match, Malleloy's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Fresneau came free, but Alexandre Becuwe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 84 minutes, Eddy Fresneau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ménardais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddy Fresneau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gauthier Ogier came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Ménardais fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gauthier Ogier couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eddy Fresneau in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Becuwe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ménardais supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ménardais would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
