Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Richard Bluteau got the match started through his kick off. In the 13th minute, Richard Bluteau got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Garons's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Bluteau came free, but Gwendal Gallas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gwendal Gallas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Bluteau in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Chien booed when Garons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrice Leducq didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute Richard Bluteau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwendal Gallas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Carl Bier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chien's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Bier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwendal Gallas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malcom Coupet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrice Leducq in the 28th minute of play. When Jean-Baptiste Le Guillou fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chien's protests and gave Jean-Baptiste Le Guillou a yellow card for diving instead. Carl Bier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Gwendal Gallas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Raoul Burnier kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Alou De Smet took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Malcom Coupet. Malcom Coupet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The Chien players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Garons were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Félicien Heyer to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Chien's goalkeeper Malcom Coupet had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alou De Smet. Gérard Carnet took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gwendal Gallas. Garons's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Richard Bluteau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Bier in the 57th minute of play forced Garons's goalkeeper Gwendal Gallas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwendal Gallas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Bluteau's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Carl Bier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chien's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Bier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gwendal Gallas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alou De Smet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcom Coupet having to interfere. A hard shot 71 in the game by Alou De Smet from a close distance when the talented Malcom Coupet managed to make a qualified save. Chien's players were relieved. Alou De Smet struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Malcom Coupet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garons. If Alou De Smet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Félicien Heyer in the 79th minute of play forced Chien's goalkeeper Malcom Coupet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwendal Gallas came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Chien's Carl Bier. But to his dismay, Carl Bier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Bluteau in the 89th minute of play forced Garons's goalkeeper Gwendal Gallas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Timothé Loire came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Chien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timothé Loire couldn't finish the play. Alou De Smet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcom Coupet having to interfere.
