In the 2nd minute, Sacha Vallier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thibaut Fuchs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Bier's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After having played for 6 minutes, Richard Bluteau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richard Bluteau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chien's Malcom Coupet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Chien from getting a goal against them. Salomon Vavasseur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcom Coupet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. When Timothé Loire fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chien's protests and gave Timothé Loire a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chien's Timothé Loire got a free kick in the 16th minute. Bruce Beaufils fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcom Coupet having to interfere. Katzenthal's Salomon Vavasseur got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carl Bier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thibaut Fuchs read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Richard Bluteau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thibaut Fuchs having to interfere. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Katzenthal's goalkeeper Thibaut Fuchs, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bruce Beaufils had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salomon Vavasseur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Malcom Coupet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcom Coupet made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Bruce Beaufils sent off a good shot on target.

Timothé Loire was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Chien's Timothé Loire got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Katzenthal's Bruce Beaufils in 56 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Malcom Coupet guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 64th minute, Paulo Delair hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salomon Vavasseur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Malcom Coupet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salomon Vavasseur in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malcom Coupet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salomon Vavasseur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Malcom Coupet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Katzenthal's zone, Carl Bier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thibaut Fuchs came out of the goal and Carl Bier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Salomon Vavasseur made a precise shot to the right of Malcom Coupet. Chien's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Katzenthal's Thibaut Fuchs proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Katzenthal from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bruce Beaufils managed to get in a good position for a shot. Katzenthal's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce Beaufils was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcom Coupet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Salomon Vavasseur notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Chien's Malcom Coupet. Malcom Coupet was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Carl Bier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Katzenthal had won after a very even match.
