Marchiennes's Philibert Coquart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Marchiennes from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Alain Just took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Philibert Coquart to make any attempt to save it. Lucas Jovanovic in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Philibert Coquart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marchiennes's Philibert Coquart played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alain Just in the 29th minute of play. Raphael Foure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Dubouchet in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Anthony Huc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th match minute, Noisiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Huc to maneuver through the defense. If Cesar Marrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Noisiel booed when Marchiennes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Dubouchet didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alain Just in the 61st minute of play forced Marchiennes's goalkeeper Philibert Coquart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Cesar Marrot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Leon Dubouchet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marchiennes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
