Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Fournet's Joffrey Planche started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aymerick Luce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Steve Mansouri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Mansouri made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Aymerick Luce sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th match minute, Fournet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camille Feller to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Billy Sarfati managed to get in a good position for a shot. Riedwihr's supporters rose to their feet, but Billy Sarfati was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve Mansouri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aymerick Luce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Steve Mansouri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Billy Sarfati had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Steve Mansouri. Fournet's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Billy Sarfati was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Joffrey Planche's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Djibril Lafage was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Riedwihr's Jean-Pierre Le Metayer got a free kick in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Riedwihr's Aymerick Luce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steve Mansouri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Aymerick Luce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fournet's zone, Aymerick Luce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Mansouri came out of the goal and Aymerick Luce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Riedwihr booed when Fournet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Inizan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Riedwihr were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Fournet's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jarod Marcotte took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Fournet's zone, Aymerick Luce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steve Mansouri came out of the goal and Aymerick Luce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The wind increased when Billy Sarfati made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aymerick Luce in the 53rd minute of play forced Fournet's goalkeeper Steve Mansouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerome Osmont kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Billy Sarfati scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steve Mansouri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joffrey Planche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Djibril Lafage read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Marc Tourte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Djibril Lafage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 played minutes Riedwihr got a freekick which was hit by Denis Nugues. Marc Tourte might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Djibril Lafage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marc Tourte ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aymerick Luce in the 75th minute of play forced Fournet's goalkeeper Steve Mansouri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Camille Feller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fournet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riedwihr the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Fournet was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camille Feller to maneuver through the defense. Aymerick Luce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute, Marc Tourte made a precise shot to the right of Djibril Lafage. Riedwihr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Aymerick Luce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riedwihr's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
