Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Noa Thomasset started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Esconac's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Luce came free, but Lionel Trinel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy Sarfati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lionel Trinel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean-Charles Santin kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Djibril Lafage made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucas Sartori in the 19th minute. Esconac's Lionel Trinel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Billy Sarfati in the 28th minute of play. Lionel Trinel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aymerick Luce in the 32nd minute of the match. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Sarfati to strike the kick off in the second half. When Noa Thomasset came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Esconac fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noa Thomasset couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Esconac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franck Bossy to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the game, Billy Sarfati recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lionel Trinel. Billy Sarfati showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Aymerick Luce struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Lionel Trinel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Riedwihr. After 65 played minutes Esconac got a freekick which was hit by Toufik Ritter. With a little luck, Esconac's Lionel Trinel got control of the ball when Aymerick Luce tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Gabriel Cognard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esconac's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Riedwihr the free kick. After 67 played minutes Esconac got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Cognard. After a defensive mix-up in Esconac's zone, Billy Sarfati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lionel Trinel came out of the goal and Billy Sarfati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Esconac getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gabriel Cognard hit a great ball. Billy Sarfati didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 73rd minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Billy Sarfati ran dejectedly back to his position. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Lucas Sartori managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esconac's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Sartori was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Djibril Lafage breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aymerick Luce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Trinel having to interfere. If Billy Sarfati had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Esconac's zone, Billy Sarfati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lionel Trinel came out of the goal and Billy Sarfati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Noa Thomasset charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noa Thomasset the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Noa Thomasset hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noa Thomasset in the 85th minute of play forced Riedwihr's goalkeeper Djibril Lafage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Riedwihr could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Esconac throughout the match.
