In the 21st match minute, Mesclans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Boudou to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Thierry Terrasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 24 played minutes Rivière got a freekick which was hit by Jules Pinon. When Sam Friess fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rivière's protests and gave Sam Friess a yellow card for diving instead. Sam Friess kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When Mesclans's Pierre-Antoine Raffard in 27 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Bruce Corbeau guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. A collision led to Rivière getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Gameiro Mangel hit a great ball. Mesclans's Pierre-Antoine Raffard got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pierre-Antoine Raffard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pierre-Antoine Raffard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute Faustin Nowicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre-Antoine Le Clech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Rivière's goal looked a bit too open when Noa Leproust came free, but Bruce Corbeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Faustin Nowicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre-Antoine Le Clech having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Gameiro Mangel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivière and the Mesclans players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rivière's Gameiro Mangel got a free kick in the 59th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 60 minutes into the game, when Gaétan Guillaumet put in a rough tackle. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rivière! In the 62nd minute there was a penalty for Mesclans. Matheo Croce stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bruce Corbeau. 1-1. In the 67th minute, Thierry Terrasson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pierre-Antoine Raffard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. In the 71st match minute, Mesclans was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Boudou to maneuver through the defense. Bruce Corbeau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Boudou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Antoine Raffard in the 83rd minute of play forced Rivière's goalkeeper Bruce Corbeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thierry Terrasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 88 minutes, Thierry Terrasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivière's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thierry Terrasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruce Corbeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurent Sarda in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, Rivière's Bruce Corbeau got control of the ball when Noa Leproust tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rivière's Bruce Corbeau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre-Antoine Raffard in the 93rd minute of play. Pierre-Antoine Raffard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruce Corbeau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Bruce Corbeau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre-Antoine Raffard in the 98th minute of the match. Rivière's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
