Jean Naudy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malcom Dubourg, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Moïse Mary sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Epagny's Jean Naudy got control of the ball when Adrien Fouet tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Epagny's Honoré Degrémont in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Epagny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Gauthier Abadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abraham Fréchin might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jean Naudy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abraham Fréchin ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Abraham Fréchin took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jean Naudy to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gauthier Abadie in the 27th minute of play forced Chamalières's goalkeeper Fabian Guitard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honoré Degrémont charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honoré Degrémont the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jean Naudy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prosper Ferraton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moïse Mary received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Jean Naudy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Epagny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honoré Degrémont to maneuver through the defense. If Abraham Fréchin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Abraham Fréchin sped through Epagny's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jean Naudy. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prosper Ferraton to make the kick off. Gauthier Abadie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Epagny's Honoré Degrémont in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jean Naudy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Fréchin in the 67th minute of the match. Honoré Degrémont struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Fabian Guitard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epagny. After a defensive mix-up in Epagny's zone, Prosper Ferraton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean Naudy came out of the goal and Prosper Ferraton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Prosper Ferraton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gauthier Abadie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Fabian Guitard made a huge save. When the referee ended the match the Chamalières players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
