The referee showed Youri Legay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles-Henri Louboutin in the 25th minute of play forced Issou's goalkeeper John-Paul Fournier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Willy Payre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabri Gille read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Issou booed when Oignies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moïse Boussemart didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Willy Payre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John-Paul Fournier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles-Henri Louboutin in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles-Henri Louboutin made a kick off. If Léonard Laye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
