Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Flavien Houze took the kick off in the first half of the match. Charly Treguer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Leclercq, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Firmin Cassagne struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Nicolas Loison didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosselange. After 7 played minutes Rosselange got a freekick which was hit by Aurelien Pastre. In the 13th minute, Flavien Houze ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charly Treguer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Boris Leclercq came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Briey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Leclercq couldn't finish the play. Charly Treguer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boris Leclercq, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rosselange players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Briey were winning 0-1.
After 54 minutes, Gustave Adrian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Briey and the Rosselange players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Rosselange lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
