Rémy Bilger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romuald Barbeau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rémy Bilger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxence Hamm, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Scios's Maxence Hamm got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean-François Duboscq got free with Lionel Imhoff in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jean-Yves Moy made a great header on Drap's corner, it was just that Scios's Lionel Imhoff managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Lucas in the 34th minute of play forced Scios's goalkeeper Lionel Imhoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 minutes, Bixente Rohart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Drap and the Scios players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Scios booed when Drap was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bixente Rohart didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Rémy Bilger managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Scios's Maxence Hamm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Jean-François Duboscq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Drap. Jean-Yves Moy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lionel Imhoff. 1-0. Ferdinand Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Donald Jeanmaire hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Lionel Imhoff came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Drap's Ferdinand Lucas. But to his dismay, Ferdinand Lucas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Drap had won after a very even match.
