If Côme Sélosse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Courson getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Josselin Dekeyser hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes Courson got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Rouvier. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorien Boissonnet got free with Alix Callewaert in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alix Callewaert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victorien Boissonnet in the 21st minute. With a little luck, Courson's Alix Callewaert got control of the ball when Antoine Miclo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 27th minute Brendan Volle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Charles Fillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Djimmy Blaison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djimmy Blaison struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Alix Callewaert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Istres. Jean-Charles Fillon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendan Volle, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Istres's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pierre-Antoine Mathelin was slow to take the kick. During this time Courson's players had a chance to rest. Clem Caubet was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 48 minutes into the game, Côme Sélosse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jean-Charles Fillon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Côme Sélosse made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Côme Sélosse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Charles Fillon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes Istres got a freekick which was hit by Antoine Miclo. When Côme Sélosse came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Courson fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Côme Sélosse couldn't finish the play. After 60 minutes, Côme Sélosse made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Istres's Jean-Charles Fillon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Brendan Volle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean-Charles Fillon having to interfere. Victorien Boissonnet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Alix Callewaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Djimmy Blaison might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alix Callewaert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Djimmy Blaison ran back to his position shaking his head. Djimmy Blaison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alix Callewaert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. When Clem Caubet fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Courson's protests and gave Clem Caubet a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Istres booed when Courson was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clem Caubet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Courson's goal looked a bit too open when Victorien Boissonnet came free, but Alix Callewaert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clem Caubet hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Djimmy Blaison scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alix Callewaert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th match minute, Istres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djimmy Blaison to maneuver through the defense. If Victorien Boissonnet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Courson eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
