A collision led to Menucourt getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Alex Furic hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabrice Olry during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Menucourt booed when Bronvaux was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrice Olry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ferdinand Forget received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ronan Lavocat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinand Forget was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Salim Delsaut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronan Lavocat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinand Forget, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Bronvaux defense, Hubert Guéguen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jordy Wrobel. The Bronvaux fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jordy Wrobel should have stopped the shot. When Gabriel Guigon fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Menucourt's protests and gave Gabriel Guigon a yellow card for diving instead. Gabriel Guigon hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Barnabé Vermersch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th match minute, Bronvaux was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc-Aurèle Tuaillon to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Bronvaux booed when Menucourt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alou Grison didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Gaspard Hernandez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronan Lavocat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bronvaux's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
