The audience was convinced that Pierre-Emmanuel Rieu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernard Lefèvre was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 26th minute of the match Lenny Lepan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernard Lefèvre skillfully saved the ball. Gaubertelle's Nelson Sutra got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierre-Emmanuel Rieu in the 32nd minute of play forced Gaubertelle's goalkeeper Bernard Lefèvre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play Gaubertelle's Ahmid Perrot was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Gaubertelle's Ahmid Perrot got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute, Gabriel Bousquiet made a precise shot to the right of Bernard Lefèvre. Gaubertelle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramzi Turbe during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Morey booed when Gaubertelle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramzi Turbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Pierre-Emmanuel Rieu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Lefèvre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nelson Sutra was the one to do the kick off. Gabriel Bousquiet struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bernard Lefèvre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morey. A collision led to Gaubertelle getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Theo Ducrot hit a great ball. The nice shot from Gabriel Bousquiet in the 67thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Bernard Lefèvre had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Pierre-Emmanuel Rieu struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bernard Lefèvre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morey. Gabriel Bousquiet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bernard Lefèvre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Gaubertelle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Rosa to maneuver through the defense. Lenny Lepan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bernard Lefèvre came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Morey's Gabriel Bousquiet. But to his dismay, Gabriel Bousquiet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Gaubertelle's Nelson Sutra got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gabriel Bousquiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Morey players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
